Exciting Updates of Awesome

Have my blog posts been a little scarce lately? Maybe.

Is it primarily because I go into “slug-mode” the second the weather gets cold? Perhaps.

Is my official reason that we’ve been holding in some killer news that comes out NOW? HELLS TO THE YES.

Announcement from our Facebook page:

“We’ve joined Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry network!

Season One is relaunching this January, exclusively on Geek & Sundry’s YouTube channel. We want to thank all of our fans for supporting us; it’s because of you that we can take this exciting next step! Thanks to Geek & Sundry, Season Two is moving forward, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store.

Keep an eye on this page for more information very soon!”

Proof from the Geek Goddess herself:

What This Means

  • Unfortunately our videos have been removed from the LARPs Youtube channel in preparation for the re-release. So to anyone who planned on waiting to see it until the holiday season with their friends and relatives…I apologize.
  • The best way to remain up to date with our goings-on is via the Facebook page. Things are moving quickly now but we’ll be posting all news there first!
  • Now would be an excellent time to subscribe to Geek and Sundry’s Youtube channel if you haven’t yet done so.
  • This is not the end of my blog, but it will be slowing down before the re-launch. In January I’ll share new videos and reviews (old and new) as they are released.

Needless to say, the team is incredibly thrilled. We can’t wait to get fresh (as well as old friends’) eyes on Season 1 AND we’re hard at work developing Season 2.

Super Geeked Up!

It’s been awhile since our interview with the fine folks of Super Geeked Up!, but here’s the video for those of you who missed the live showing. We all had a blast and frankly I’m impressed we managed to fit so many people on the screen!

Ben and Julian are basking in Miami sun right now at the Miami Webfest along with other web series buddies (Jeff from Super Geeked Up/Super Knocked Up, Daryn from Time Keeper, Daniela and Eli from WebVee Guide, and no doubt plenty more!) Will make sure to post photos and recaps when they get back, although if I were them I don’t think I’d be hurrying back to “colder by the second Montreal” anytime soon.

Comiccon photos

What a great weekend. Friday we were zipping all over the place: picking up Comiccon passes, new LARPs t-shirts AND (dun dun duhhhh) doing our first full readthrough of Season 2!

…Woah.

It was amazing having everyone back in one room, returning to this project. Exciting things are afoot, and that was only Friday!

Saturday was the panel. We got a really good turnout and the audience was a mixture of people who have seen the show and some who were completely new to the series. Hopefully those of you who had never heard of us ran home and binge-watched Season 1!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and who wished us well from afar. I’m hoping we get to come back next year!

Montreal Comiccon…

…is this weekend! The LARPs cast and crew will be there most of the weekend and we have a panel on Saturday at 3:15pm, room 511f.  We’ll discuss webseries in Canada, women in gaming, how our show compares to various different LARPs around the globe, and more!

Oh—and some ComicCon-exclusive Season Two reveals! Don’t miss it!

Special bonus: if you stick around for the evening you can see myself and Scott Humphrey participate in a staged reading of Monstrum at 8pm.

So come on down! Buy a day pass and say hi!
