I’m back. And it was AWESOME. The weather was gorgeous (take a hint, Montreal), the people were wonderful and the shows were top-notch. I haven’t gotten the chance to check out too many fests up until now but this was definitely one of the best run so far. Not only were there no technical or scheduling hiccups but the organizers were an absolute joy. They must have been stressing out internally but all we got on the outside were smiles and warmth. They were never too busy to stop and chat. The atmosphere was lovely and inviting and I’m so so glad I was able to make it out.
Oh, and then this happened:

Pretty damn amaze-balls. Here are some photos from the weekend:
While in Victoria I got to meet up with the delightful Kaie of “Foam and Steel”, another LARPing series coming soon!
With Neil Every (Fools For Hire) and Jeff Burns (Super Geeked Up)

With Geoff Richardson and Ryan Pears (Under The HUD), and Daryn Murphy (Timekeeper)

I bonded with a falcon.
Cool as a cucumber.
Then there was this tortoise.
And a wolf. Yeah.
Cuddly.
My new spirit animal.
Post-screening Q&A
With Jay Irwin of “Chop Socky Boom”. Although we only met on the last night of the fest we made up for it by singing Monty Python’s “The Lumberjack Song” together post-award ceremony.
Can you tell I loooooove it?
Thanks for the wonderful weekend, Vancouver WebFest!
